Mrs. Brewer retired from the State of Georgia and was a life-long member of the Baptist Faith. She is survived by her grandchildren, Mrs. Joi Brewer Kendrick, and Mrs. April Franklin, both of Covington, Mr.

A. S. Turner Sons. Express condolences at ajc.comobits LESSELBAUM, Harold Harold Lesselbaum, 87, of Atlanta died Thursday, January 18, 2007. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Max and Ruth Neufeld Lesselbaum.

He attended NYU and The University of Georgia, where he graduated with a BS in Forestry in 1941. He did post graduate work in surveying at Wake Forest University. He served in the US Army Corps of Engineers during WWII. Mr. Lesselbaum worked for the SC Forest Service in Florence and Kingstree, SC prior to being a partner in Lane Lumber Co.

He was a partner in Williamsburg Building Supply Co. for 38 years in Kingstree, SC. After he retired in 1985 Mr. Lesselbaum earned his real estate license and worked for McGill Real Estate Agency for 8 years. Mr.

Lesselbaum was a board member emeritus of the Williamsburg First National Bank in Kingstree, SC, a past member of the Advisory Council of the SC State Development Board, president of Williamsburg County Health Planning Commission for 15 years, member of the Town of Kingstree Zoning Board of Appeals, member of Town of Kingstree Beautification Committee, past president of Temple Beth Or of Kingstree, former member and director of the Kingstree Chamber of Commerce. He was a Mason and past Deputy District Governor of Lions Club International. He was a Score volunteer and publicity chairman for the Williamsburg County unit of the American Cancer Society. He moved to Columbia, SC in 1993 where he volunteered for the Ford Motor Co. Dispute Settlement Board and was secretary for the State Legislative Committee for AARP.

He was a member of The Tree of Life Congregation in Columbia. Mr. Lesselbaum is survived by his wife of 64 years, Muriel Schulman Lesselbaum, a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Jerry Maziar of Atlanta, grandchildren, Kim and Ken Hockstein and Kerrie Henneberg all of Atlanta: and great grandchildren, Drew and Ryan Hockstein and Jonah Henneberg. Graveside services will be held Sunday, January 21 at 3:30 pm at Temple Beth Or Cemetery in Kingstree, SC. Nancy was born on April 18, 1959 in Montgomery, AL. Nancy was a graduate of Southwest DeKalb High School (1 977) and the University of Georgia School of Pharmacy (1982). She is survived by her husband Gary Walens and daughters Lauren 18 and Andrea 14, her mother Esta Brian and brother David and sister Lisa.

Nancy will be best remembered for her overwhelming kindness and beautiful smile. She was an avid lover of her children, music, reading and birds. She was an active member in every community she lived, supporting both the schools and societies that preserved the environment. The son of Jasper and Pearl Stephens Thomaston, Wayne was born February 1 6, 1928 in Kinston, Alabama. He was a graduate of Kinston High School, class of 1 946. Wayne enlisted in the United States Navy in 1946 and served until 1948. Upon his discharge from the Navy, he returned to Coffee County Alabama to work the family farm. In 1949 Wayne enlisted in the United States Army Reserve and served on active duty until 1953.

He attended Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Auburn University) and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Fisheries Biology in 1955. Wayne began his career with the State of Georgia Game and Fish Commission in 1956. In 1964 he was appointed Regional Supervisor and was one of the first Fisheries Biologists in Georgia. He retired from the State in 1985. Following his retirement he continued to pursue his passion for fisheries biology establishing a private Pond Management Service.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Smith Thomaston. In addition, he is survived by his son Scott W. Thomaston of Atlanta, daughter Camilla Thomaston Lucas and son in law Scott Lucas of Charlotte NC, and grandchildren Zachary and Amelia Thomaston and Adam and Lauren Lucas. A service to celebrate the life of Wayne Thomaston will be held at Hart's Mortuary on Saturday January 20 at 2:00 pm. Friends and family will be received at 1 pm.

He was born in Macon, GA, on July 22, 1932, the only child of Justice Jule W. Felton and Mary Julia Sas-nett Felton. Mr. Felton is survived by his wife, Kate Gillis Felton, his son, Jule W. Felton III, of Atlanta, his daughters, Mary Felton Shaffran of Arlington, VA, and Laura Felton Trimble of Atlanta, his sons-in-law, James Shaffran and James Trimble, and by three grandchildren, Stephen Shaffran, and Kate and James Trimble III.

Mr. Felton attended public schools in Atlanta, and received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Georgia. He served as First Lieutenant in the JAG Corps of the United States Army. Mr. Felton began his legal career in Atlanta in 1956, specializing in trial and appellate advocacy.

Mr. Felton was for many years a partner of the firm of Hansell Post. He was also Of Counsel with the firm of Jones, Day, Reavis Pogue and subsequently affiliated with Ford Felton, with Proctor, Felton Chambers, and with Peterson Harris. Mr. Felton was a member of the Georgia House of Representatives from 1969 to 1973 and was a member and past Chair of the Board of the Georgia Department of Community Affairs.

He served as President of the Atlanta Bar Association in 1973 and President of the State Bar of Georgia in 1985. He was a member and past Chair of the University of Georgia Law School Board of Visitors and served a term as President of the University of Georgia Law School Association. He was a recipient of the University of Georgia Law School Distinguished Service Award. Mr. Felton was a member of the Northside United Methodist Church, the Buckhead Lions Club, the Gridiron Club, the Georgia Bulldog Club, the University of Geeorgia National Alumni Society, the American Bar Association, the American College of Trial Lawyers, Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, the Eleventh Circuit Historical Society, the National Conference of Bar Presidents, the Old War Horse Lawyers Club, the Lawyers Club of Atlanta, the Atlanta Breakfast Club, the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity, the Capital City Club, the Commerce Club, and the Piedmont Driving Club.

Mr. Felton is remembered for his love of his family; service to his community, the legal profession and the University of Georgia; dedication to his many friends; and his love of life, especially history, golf, music, and travel. Visitation will be at H.M. Patterson Son, 1020 Spring on Friday, January 19th from 4 to 6 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 20th at 11 a.m.
